Sky Mountain Charter School -- Santa Clarita/ San Fernando Valley Test Site 2010

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Location: Santa Clarita Methodist Church

26640 Bouquet Canyon Road

Santa Clarita, CA 91350

When: Monday April 12, 2010 and Tuesday April 13, 2010

Time:

Grades 2-8

Morning Session, 8:30 -11:30 Arrive no later than 8:15.

Grades 9-11

Afternoon Session, 12:00-3:00 Arrive no later than 11:45.

Students will finish at varying times on the second day of testing, Tuesday. If your child finishes earlier than the scheduled end of testing on the second day we will phone you. Please be available to pick up your child. There is no waiting room area at the test site for parents or siblings.

Parking:

Free Parking in the parking lot but be mindful of the pre-school children and parents

Sign-in/Sign Out:

All students must be signed in and out by a parent or guardian. Your ES will have you fill out a Star Testing Security form. This form will list your contact information and pick up/drop off authorization. You child will not be released to any person who is not named on the security form.

Snacks:

Please pack nutritious snacks and drinks for your student. Students will have break time for snacks and fresh air. Snacks will not be provided at the test site. No refrigerator or microwave is available.

Cell Phones/Electronics/Books

Students may not have cell phones during testing. The Site Coordinator will collect cell phones and return them after testing.

Students may NOT have i-pods or other electronic devices, CD players, radios or games during testing. Please do not allow your student to bring these to the test site.

Students should bring a book to read when they finish testing and are waiting for pick up. Thank you.

Miscellaneous:

· Except in an emergency DO NOT phone the test site or the site coordinator.

· Your ES is your first contact for questions or concerns.

· Remind your student that they must not disturb others during testing and that they must respect SMCS proctors and the facility staff and property. Disruptive students will be sent home and will not be permitted to finish testing at this test site.
